WHO WE ARE
Armstrong Vocal Studio was founded in 2011 by Sara and Chad Armstrong.
This husband and wife team has over 25 years experience in the professional singing world.
Sara Petrocelli, mezzo soprano
Sara graduated Northern Valley Regional H.S. in Old Tappan, NJ. She received a Bachelor of Music Degree from the Purchase College Conservatory of Music, and a Master of Music Degree from Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in Italian Studies. She has completed artist residencies with the Tulsa Opera, the Sarasota Opera, and EPCASO in Oderzo, Italy. Sara was named a district winner in the 2012 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and has performed leading and supporting roles with regional companies.
Chad Armstrong, baritone
Chad is a native of Saskatchewan, Canada. He received his Bachelor of Music Degree from Minot State University, his Master of Music Degree in Education from University of Oklahoma and is currently A.B.D. towards his Doctorate in Music. Chad has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada, and received great acclaim for leading roles in Bologna and Modena, Italy, Ostrava, Czech Republic, and Szeged, Hungary. Chad is also an experienced choral conductor, and plays the trombone and the bagpipes.
